VR-Schooldom: IO1 Research Report

The Erasmus+ project "Developing VR educational tools to support class accommodation and peer-level based learning for students with dyslexia" has released its IO1 Research Report, which provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of support for students with dyslexia in five countries: Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Italy, and Latvia.
The report discusses the current state of support for students with dyslexia in these countries and how virtual reality educational tools can be developed to improve the situation. The report highlights that in Latvia, secondary schools do not have licensed programs for students with dyslexia, and in Bulgaria, teachers are not prepared to recognize students with dyslexia which leads to lack of support. In Germany, students with disabilities are protected under Basic Law and specific policies, while in Greece, the education system has only recently begun to pay attention to the needs of dyslexic students. In Italy, educational institutions are invited to identify tools to ensure students with dyslexia receive the same level of education as their peers.
